Level 1: Introduction to and basic technique of relaxation massage

Who is it for?
This course is intended for those who want to practise massage as a hobby, or for those who need basic knowledge in order to progress in this field. They will be introduced to the concept of relaxation massage, which is known all over the world.
They will learn the basic grips and techniques for performing this massage, the contraindications and indications for carrying it out, and will be able to practise it with confidence after the course.
The course consists of a theoretical and a practical part, in which the massage is performed on real clients under the supervision of an instructor who will help you reach your full potential and so begin your path towards a successful career as a therapist.
Course objective
Building the confidence to perform relaxation massage, recognising which massage grips to apply in a given situation, and putting the theoretical knowledge acquired into practice.

One month.
Lecture schedule
Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and last three and a half hours (including a half-hour break).
Examination
At the end of all the lectures, a theoretical and a practical test are taken.

Level 2: Introduction to and technique of therapeutic massage

Who is it for?
For everyone who, having got to know relaxation massage, wants to progress and develop further, this is the next step - getting to know the technique of therapeutic massage.
Therapeutic massage differs from relaxation massage in many ways. Its purpose is different, as is the way it is applied. It is there to relieve muscle tension, improve joint mobility, improve circulation and so on.
To become a successful therapist, a knowledge of therapeutic massage techniques is essential. That is why we recommend this course after you have successfully completed Level 1.
It consists of a theoretical lecture covering muscular and skeletal anatomy in more detail, along with their pathological conditions, the application of grips, indications and contraindications and so on. This is followed by practice on real clients under the supervision of an instructor who will help you perfect your skills and take up your new profession - that of therapist.

Hot stone massage

What is volcanic stone massage?
Volcanic stone massage (hot stone) is a form of thermotherapy procedure based on the ancient tradition of using warm volcanic stones for therapeutic purposes.
It is a very popular treatment in spa centres around the world.
For the duration of the treatment the client relaxes completely. Forty-five different stones are heated in special chrome vessels, in water, at a temperature of between 47 and 50C.
Volcanic stone massage is a unique massage technique that allows all the thermodynamic benefits of heated basalt stones to combine with the elevated properties of essential oils.

Course programme
This course consists of a theoretical part and practical exercises in the volcanic stone massage technique.
The theoretical part covers the benefits of this massage, the equipment (where and how to obtain it), maintaining and cleaning the equipment, contraindications and indications, safety requirements, assessing the heat of the stones before the massage, and attracting new clients by promoting your expertise.
In the practical part, this volcanic stone massage technique will be practised on a real client.
